Department of General Medicine
The Department of General Medicine, one of the biggest departments of the institute, works with a core mission of "Quality Care" which includes management of critically ill patients, preventive medicine, palliative and geriatric care along with high standards of education and clinical research.
The department has 220 beds and functional 06 units with yearly intake of 12 PGs. It caters all variety of medical patients with full-fledged Cardiology, Gastroenterology, Nephrology, and Endocrinology units along with specialty clinics.
The Nephrology Unit has performed successful Kidney Transplantation — first ever in this area. The department is successfully treating patients of PMJAY in critical care, cardiac procedures, and dialysis. Department has also started clinical trials.
